Robot Risk Index

You can’t insure, regulate, or fix a risk you can’t measure.

We’re logging every robot incident we can find, so robot risk can finally be measured.

Robots are leaving the lab and entering warehouses, hospitals, streets, and homes. When one fails, the record of what happened is usually scattered across news reports, filings, and private logs — or never written down at all.

The Robot Risk Index is our running record of robot incidents, failures, and near misses, collected in one place so the risk of autonomous machines can be understood, compared, and quantified — by the people who build them, deploy them, insure them, and live alongside them.

What we record

  • Incidents

Collisions, falls, injuries, and property damage involving robots in the real world.

  • Failures and near misses

Malfunctions, unsafe behavior, emergency stops, and the close calls that rarely make the news.

  • Recalls and rulings

Recalls, regulatory actions, lawsuits, and insurance claims that put a price on robot risk.
